In this piece twenty magnets are constrained to radial movement. Their magnetic fields are all polarized the same way. This causes them to repel each other and create a space between them. Naturally they find a steady state on a sheered grid. Any external force disturbs this state. Inflicted impulses propagate through the system until the inertia decays and another steady state is assumed.
